Tokyo Game Show (TGS) Canceled Because of Coronavirus

Tokyo Game Show (TGS) has been canceled because of the Coronavirus pandemic. The event will take place from September 24th to 27th at the Makuhari Messe convention center outside of Tokyo.

The organizers have to make a difficult decision to change the event to a digital format. It is still unclear when the digital event will be held. Whether it will be held during the convention’s normal hours or will be held on another selected date.

Since 1996, the Tokyo Game Show has been held annually. In the first two days of the game show is for attendees from the gaming industry. For the last two days of the convention is open to the public.

Japanese outlet Nikkei conveyed the announcement. Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) introduces the Tokyo Game Show. And it used to be held twice every year, prior to the occasion changed to its present yearly organization beginning in 2002.
